Prakruti & Purush!

Dear Friends,

These reflections on the painting are written by my dear & respected friend Friendly Ghost... (backfoot.rediffiland.com)

I thank you Krishna, for allowing me to rewrite your words here...

“Your dream space (then it was posted in the dreamspace) pic makes me think of two serene souls prevented from meeting by the decaying scrolls of tradition between them.

Each soul seems complete... desire less, inward-looking, ecstatic. And yet they face each other as if about to kiss.

I look at this picture and wonder: Would their union make them more complete than they already are?

I wonder: How long before the scroll falls apart... and fall apart it surely will, as I see it is already in tatters. So how long before they unite?

I wonder: Would they then open their eyes, cease to be inward-looking? Would their union make them incomplete, thirsting for each other?

So many questions arise... with so many alternative answers.

That is why this is such a wonderful picture, Prachi. It doesn't make a STATEMENT, it only asks QUESTIONS.

I believe that this is the nature of our Universe. The Universe makes no statements; it only asks questions for us to find answers to.

Warm Regards,
Ghost”
